Napolitana Sauce
Ingredients
2 clove garlic, chopped
20g olive oil
440g tinned tomatoes or tomato puree/ Passata
20g tomato paste
Handful of Fresh Basil Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Heat oil.
Add garlic and saute for 3 mins until soft.
Add tomatoes, tomato paste, and season with salt and pepper.
Bring to boil, then turn down and simmer for 30-45 mins until reduced and thickens.
Add your handful of fresh basil and add a drizzle of olive oil.
Serve with gnocchi or your favourite pasta. Or even use in your lasagna.
(note: If you are using Passata tomato sauce you do not need the tomato paste)
