Profile of The PKU (Phenylketonuria) Association of NSW Inc.

The PKU Association of NSW Inc is a voluntary support group for individuals and families living with phenylketonuria (PKU). We have an executive committee of 7 volunteers who meet 6 times per year with sub-committees for specific activities.

One of our most valued services is the publication of a quarterly Newsletter providing members with information on social events and fundraising activities; recipes & product updates; networking help with support contact lists for families and individuals; interesting websites; PKU clinic updates and relevant Government policy changes. All for only $20 membership per year with the first year free for new families.

Activities undertaken by our Association include social events such as an Annual Family Christmas picnic, Adult and Teen dinners, a Biennial National PKU Youth Camp, an annual Gala Dinner to raise funds for research, and Seminars with guest speakers providing up-to-date health information and Educational programmes in conjunction with The Children's Hospital at Westmead.
